Meet the Team!
Hello!
We are Jasmine and Jacek, a husband and wife team with a penchant for vintage style (but NOT vintage values!). With our 2 working dogs — Lady Mary the Australian Kelpie and Wrangler the Blue Heeler, and our 2 sons — Kai and Marcel, together we are Working Dogs & Sons!
Working out of our mid-century home in Richmond, California, we handmake small leather goods and accessories to last a lifetime using traditional saddlery techniques and the highest quality materials.
Our Process
All of our products start with an entire hide of full-grain leather. From this hide, we cut our own straps and shapes for belts and accessories.
We hand-stitch our wares using the same traditional technique used for making horse saddles: saddlestitching. Although it’s a slow process, the result is a more durable product.
Our products are finished using a multi-step process involving hand-beveling of edges and multiple successive applications of waxes to all cut edges. This allows us to achieve an even, silky smooth, and more durable edge.
